Camps 2010

There are 2 camps this year:

1. The 4/5 day Summer Camp, 11 – 15 Aug at S. Dornaford and

New this Year...

2. A 2/3 day Mini-Camp, 10 – 12 Sept at Gidleigh Village Hall

1. The Summer Camp

Wed 11 – Sun 15 August (4pm Wed till 4pm Sunday)

South Dornaford, Okehampton, Devon EX17 3RF

The Summer Camp is a Living Movement event, tradition even, that’s been running since 1990. Now in it’s 5th year at South Dornaford Farm, people come from al over the country to enjoy, share, play, learn, feast, chat and generally have a great time with a great gathering of people. The Camp is spread over 5 days with tai chi + qigong fronting the bill. There are always one or two other highlights and for the last 3 years we have had excellent Taiko and African drumming sessions led by Jason Davis and Steve Sutcliffe from Cornwall.

You can come for the whole event, part or even by the day. Most people camp, though there’s a 5 bedroom farm dormitory for women only as well as a comfortable, local farm flat 1 mile away.

You are welcome as a complete novice to tai chi or as a seasoned enthusiast. There’s always a good mix of people and one of the joys is people sharing their own interests and talents.

There’s lots of space at South Dornaford. It sits in 200 acres of meadow and woodland bordering the river Okement, near Okehampton and Dartmoor, Devon. It’s the perfect place for a camp - the sessions are fun with venues ranging from woodland to riverside meadow to marquee to converted barn dojo/studio, there is plenty of feasting and the camp fire burns from start to finish.

Costs, booking and further info for the 2010 camp will appear here soonish. Meanwhile if you have any questions, just give me a shout.

The Whole Camp costs £ This includes everything – all the marvellous vegetarian food, (breakfast, lunch and supper) camping and of course, all the tai chi.

Part Camp costs £ per day This includes breakfast, lunch, w/shops & camping (if you decide to stay over).
