Working with Others – The Way of Soft Power:
It is in the partner work of tai chi, that you can learn an enormous amount about yourself, life and ways of being. It can be both challenging and exceptionally rewarding.
Tai Chi offers us a way that is ‘soft power’. Soft Power is an approach to interacting that is based on principles of listening, surrender and joining – listening to what’s happening, surrendering to the situation and joining with the other person for a good outcome.
All of these principles stem from the martial aspect of tai chi and can be applied to how we relate day to day: when to speak, when to listen; when to act, when to be still; when to lead, when to follow.
This year there are 3 types of interactive workshop:
Pushing Hands, which is open to all
Da Lu, for people with some tai chi experience
and
San Shou for the more experienced player

Sometimes known as the tai chi dance or fast form, this is a fabulous choreographed movement piece with 2 sides/forms and continuous martial application in movement.
The 2 sides are learned solo and in application with a partner.
A very rewarding undertaking requiring commitment and a light attitude.
