The Tai Chi Sword

2021 workshops
Keep an eye out here for learning the Tai Chi Sword online this year

The tai chi longsword is a superb movement practice. It’s subtle and dynamic with characteristic swirling cuts, thrusts and parries. This form will help you to develop light footwork, strong legs, flexibility and lightness of spirit. It is a practice that asks the player for good balance, a clear focus and a willingness to relax in dynamic movement.
The great throughput of energy makes it especially good for health.

Angus  (above) learned this excellent sword form first from Alan Peck and then from Dr Chi Chiang Tao, in Vancouver Canada 1987.
Dr. Chi was an excellent swordsman. Above right you see him with his sword teacher in Taiwan.
