We have an ongoing San Shou practice group that meets 4 or 5 weekends a year, in Devon.
The Saturdays are dedicated to principles of partner work along with pushing hands and da lu.
Newcomers to San Shou are welcomed making it possible to learn the sequences from the beginning.

Sometimes known as the Tai Chi Dance or Fast Form, the San Shou is a brilliantly devised movement piece with 2 sides/forms, which are played solo as well as partnered. The two sides fit together to create a continuous two person flow or ‘dance’ that is martial application in movement....open, close; full, empty; yin, yang; yield, attack.

Enthusiasm for exploring the partnerwork of tai chi is probably the main ingredient required to learn San Shou.
It will bring new levels of experience and understanding to your tai chi practice.

Below you can see Angus playing San Shou with Phil Wright from Vital Tai Chi. Both sides, A and B are shown.
