The Tai Chi Sword

The tai chi longsword is a superb movement practice.
The sword form is subtle and dynamic with characteristic swirling cuts, thrusts and parries. This form will help you to develop light footwork, strong legs, flexibility and lightness of spirit.
It is a practice that asks the player for good balance, a clear focus and a willingness to relax in dynamic movement.
The great throughput of energy makes it especially good for health.

Angus  (above) learned this excellent sword form first from Alan Peck and then from Dr Chi Chiang Tao, in Vancouver Canada 1987.
Dr. Chi was an excellent swordsman. Above right you see him (far right) with his sword teacher in Taiwan.
